The Institute for Humane Studies offers many programs for academics interested in classical liberal ideas. We invite you to join the IHS network of more than 6,000 faculty throughout the world, who use IHS resources to advance their research, careers, and intellectual interests.
- IHS Faculty Network Newsletter
Subscribe to our monthly newsletter filled with information about IHS and non-IHS programs, such as fellowships, academic conferences, student opportunities, teaching and research resources, and new books. Subscribe to the newsletter (faculty account required).
- Current Research Workshops
During these day-long workshops, junior faculty have the opportunity to present their research papers to distinguished scholars panels, including two experts from their field who provide valuable feedback.
- Hayek Fund for Scholars
The Hayek Fund provides up to $1,000 for career-advancing activities such as attending a professional conference or academic job interview, conducting research, or participating in a career development seminar.
- Kosmos
Join a community of liberty-friendly academics on Kosmos, our new academic networking site. Learn about jobs and opportunities. Brainstorm ideas by joining one of the groups focused on a discipline, such as The Philosophy Warehouse or Oikonomia (for economists). Browse the Event Calendar, also organized by discipline, so you don’t miss a networking event near you. Visit www.KosmosOnline.org.
- Publication Announcements
Tell us about your recent publications, and we'll inform those in our network who might be interested. Email your publication information to facultynews@TheIHS.org.
Please contact Dr. Nigel Ashford, Senior Program Officer, to let us know how we can assist you.
